BLACKBIRD
BLACKBIRD - (Lockheed Aircraft Corporation, USA) the USAF's SR-71 Reconnaissance aircraft, also known as 'HABU' was developed from the A-12 OXCART. Flown from 1964 to 1998, the SR-71 also served with NASA as a research platform until 1999. Cruising at over Mach 3.2, the BLACKBIRD set a World speed record which stands to this day.
